Hedone Explained

Hedone is a Free-to-Play multiplayer online First Person Shooter from Acony Games. It utilizes Unreal Engine 3 and other leading systems to provide a retail quality gaming experience.

The game is set in the near future where  John J Lazar, media mogul and owner of the Lazar.us corporation has formed a new reality TV network called HedoneTV. Contestants fight with live ammunition and real weapons across a selection of arenas and are able to reincarnate into a new body when they die thanks to the patented ‘Synth’ technology developed by Lazar tech.

The style and theme of Hedone has enabled us to be creative in various areas of the game. In particular the level design breaks away from the usual themes seen in other FPS titles, players can battle over a wide variety of environments including prisons, abandoned ships and custom built arenas.

Hedone includes several game modes on release such as Team Deathmatch and Search & Destroy. These will be recognizable to FPS fans but with a Hedone ‘twist’ and will support up to 20 players per match

The aim of the Hedone.TV network is fame at any cost. Contestants are encouraged to create an individual style from the thousands of options available to customize your character and your weapons. In addition, players can purchase additional taunts and exciting skills that will change the way the game unfolds.

Finally what differentiates Hedone from a lot of the F2P games on the market is our time versus money approach to monetizing the game. Rather than having a ‘pay to win’ system, Hedone allows players to purchase everything in the vanity clothing, weapons and technology shops via in-game currency as well as real cash allowing meaning that all players have the same opportunities in-game.
