I have had a total of 30 friends join me in Hedone and we played together, but after 3 weeks of playing they stopped playing because they thought the game was stupid because they said it was from the anoying anouncers and the stupid gameplay. I really like the game and I like the anouncers talking in the background when I kill somebody and I love the graphics I have it set to the highest quality and the highest resoultion 1920+1080. The graphics in this free to play fps game is great. My friends also said that the game was going to fail because there is no way of them earning money, like buying guns and stuff for real money. I hate that most guns are overpowering with real money but they have to earn money aswell and I told them its just a beta and that it will proubly get a payment shop system when it releases. Now the question is will Hedone fail or will it get passed on, I love Hedone but 30 of my friends left and they play almost every game. I just want to know does anybody think that the game will fail like the first versian parabelum or will it pass and become a success.
Please tell me what you think.

Well, I don't think it will fail, also I can't say if it will be a big success, I really like it, and I loved Parabellum.
It just seems like that some people just don't like it for some reason (maybe because it's kinda hard to get into (or they get frustrated playing against pro players...)).

I love the game and but when ever I show the game around people say it is stupid. I don't know why I like the game alot. For me I got used to the game controls after 3 games and I didn't have a problem into getting used to it. As soon as I saw this game relaunch I loved it.

hm... i think it won't fail, because it has big potential. Only if we HAVE to buy real money it will fail, i think...

Well viewing things on the US side of things, the game is barely holding it's head out of water. Regardless of the simple concept of the game, Hedone has a high learning curve for new players. Unfortunately that high learning curve is the shooting mechanics. With starter guns being non user friendly, new player quickly get demolishes and turned off. As a result, in each test secession there are less than 8-10 people playing, if at all. Now looking strictly on the player base on the US, Hedone looks like a rapidly sinking ship. Mind this all my opinion, from a beta testers point of view. With such a small number of players i do not encourage Hedone DEVs to keep further pushing people away by only closing down our beta test secession, and letting the EU keep having theirs. The end result i believe is, that the non hard core fans(most players) will look at this as bad thing rather than a good thing.

Hi Guys,

Please remember the core focus right now is testing systems and processes, not just 'in the game' but behind the scenes as well. The US numbers are lower than Europe as majority of our initial activity was based in Europe (as we are). some elements of the game will be impacted by the lower numbers of players during closed beta, during which we are not actively 'marketing the game'

Once we move into open beta and towards release the game will be supported with marketing and PR activities to bring Hedone to a larger audience.

I couldn't agree more. This is what ruined other "free-to-play" shooters for me and brought me to Hedone. Hedone seems to have a much more balanced way of doing free-to-play microtransactions.

Sounds a bit like a couple of free riders who will complain about the smallest things in the ingame shops, and don't want the people who actually make the "free riders" able to keep playing the game by paying for the items ingame with real money... So I'm pretty tired of the constant crying from raging kids that just want everything handed to them anyway... I set my peace

I have no problem with people who pay real money for free-to-play games and I will most likely put down some cash to support Hedone once it is out of beta. What frustrates me is when "free riders" and "pay-to-players" have different benefits and it ends up being necessary to spend real money in order to enjoy the game. For example, imagine that black weapons were only available for for real world money? That would be unfair. As the system is set up now it is considerably more convenient to use real money to buy black weapons because it will take forever to save up enough IGC between repairs to buy black weapons, especially if you plan to use anything other than default weapons along the way. But it is not necessary to spend real money. That is why I can respect Hedone's microtransaction system--It's fair.

As long Hedone TV dont become a "Pay To Win" game it will be popular. If not : that game is dead...

Exactly. That's what I'm saying.

As a Parabellum veteran, how do you think I will do? (I just discovered this whole 'Hedone' thing)

I for one believe that Hedone has a lot of potential even though it is not the biggest thing out there. And having to buy guns and stuff with real money is probably not the greatest idea especially since we are still in Beta mode.
