Hi Guys,
As the forums are your home, I wouild like to know your preference / thoughts on the following.
With there being a strong interest in the game in Germany, We can do one of 2 things.
1) Rename each forum area to have the English and German title in it, but still only have the one area for that subject
or
2) Have German version of each main forum topic
There are positive and negative points to each, for example if we go with option 1) we keep everyone together, but people will see threads in other language, whereas option 2) separates out the language threads, but can also slightly divide the community.
Let me know what you guys think, this is your home so I welcome your input / thoughts.
Chris
I think the first option can be some kind of confusing.
So I would prefere the second option.

I would prefer the first option. In my opinion it's less confusing.

In the last two years, there always was a German and a English section in the forum.
Of course, the people are seperated but they would be also seperated in a common as the result of different languages.
I think that is the best way.
Cheers,

There should be definetly separate forums or special sections for other language. I agree that mix of two languages threads will be pretty confusing.

Hmm but many peoples in here are able to write/understand English and German, so they would have to decide in wich forum they would post.

My opinion is that we take the first option because english is a world language so every one can read it.....I play also english games and there are no problems to chat with english people or to play with them......!
My vote is for seperate forums. But not only German and English, I think other languages such as Spanish, Dutch and Portuguese must be avaliable! The more international the game is, the more people it will have!
I can help with the portuguese part. :)

That would not be a good plan ;) It is not possible to maintain and moderate this amount of forums.

But we don't need thousands of sub forums , which are just used by like 2-3 paylers.

I think that having to separate forums labeled [ENG] or [GER] would help out the most. A lot of players who might come from the states might not realize that this game is made by a German company and become confused, so clarifying that in the forums might help to ease the confusion
for me, both options are ok. Maybe a poll with boxes to check would be given a clearer overview of the votes.

1) 64%
2) 36%

Although I truly hate segregating a community, having English and German threads tangled up in one forum is a big no no. Not only does it make for an extremely poor user experience, but it's also going to increase thread duplication and make moderation/feedback gathering a nightmare.
Having said that, if a German forum is created, I can easily see a mass exodus of all of the German players, and me left here on my lonesome in the English forum :P. You've got to give props to the German community for knowing their quality games and getting involved with them early!
All in all, a separated forum is the way to go.

Here is my opinion
Do what Webzen International did, same forum - same people - same post but can be translated automatically according to user language

I think we should split so that people that dont understand german or english can know where forum conversation is going
and the people that know both languages can just go to both

I know acony is German and i know the German community is large however I personally think that you should not have any German forums at all (other than in the international section). My opinion is that the forums should be kept all english-international.
