Most Valuable Player (MVP) Competition During this weekend's show [Archive]

Greetings contestants,

I have just finished a meeting with the TV Networks discussing the exciting weekend long show we are running.

We have decided to make things a little more interesting, the TV Networks have agreed to provide us with statistics on the fan numbers for each contestant taking part in the event, with this we have decided to run a competition to find the Most Valuable Player (MVP) from the event.

The top 5 contestants with the most fans gained in each territory will win a gift pack from the Lazar corporation.

The Top overall contestant will win a grand prize and will be interviewed for Hedone.tv

During the Weekend event, we will be monitoring the total fans gained by each player.
The top 5 players in each territory will win a Hedone T-Shirt & Poster.
The Player with the most fans gained overall (both territories combined) will win a 100 EUR (or equivalent value in $ or £) gift Card for Amazon.
Current and Previous Acony Employee and Publisher / Press accounts are excluded.
The Overall winner will be interviewed via email to provide content for a website article.

I think this will add some extra spice to the show and I can’t wait to see who comes out on top.

I highly doubt that I will be in any top ranks though. I think my DDR2 gimps my otherwise decent computer... and I have the skill of a blind and deaf squirrel with three broken legs, no tail, scoliosis and a brain tumor.

Well thank you and thank you! I actually consider myself a relatively average player. Not great and not horrible. Good days and bad days, you know.

Hopefully there will be another event soon and you can rack up some kills then ;)

And is it just me or does it seem that a good team is more important in this game than it was in Parabellum? It seemed like in Parabellum a great player could carry a team to victory easier than this one. I would almost swear that the skills (especially things like the medigel and turret) change the balance slightly (not a lot, but just enough) in comparison to Parabellum.

Hehe nice I always kinda thought this playing windows would be like a real broadcasting times of a tv show. ^^
Also it would be nice if there would be a "Hedone Weekend Marathon Ranking" with credits or guns for the winners. ^^
Seems like things getting a bit more serious this weekened. 100€ Amazon gift card or a tshirt O_O.

Especially in Dominion mode if your mates dont know what to do

You're right on this one, I guess now game is really more newcomers friendly, healing and new gameplay balance making it harder to own without backup.

I saw him few times just when CB1 started, so it was a while ago when last he was playing.

It's determined by the amount of fans you've gained in all matches, not your level.

But you can't get more fans after reaching the highest level, or at least it had been like this with exp in Pb (exp=fans).

So I'm now lvl 50 (level cap) and maximum fans. zooey gonna reach it soon too. Actually I would have won because I started with a lower level, but zooey doesn't even have a chance to beat me like that...

I really hope that booster fans dont count... cause i didnt have enough credits to buy boosters...
And i probablly logged more hours on this weekend than ANYONE else... But i wont have nearly as many fans as someone who only logged in for half the time i did, cause of boosters... (I watched as a person ranked 4 times berfore i even ranked once, And im rank 45. He was rank 39... hes now 44 and im 46....

2 levels From level cap going to reach it tonight, kinda unfair that the competition doesn't separate EU and NA. Eu has had far more experience, *last phase* than NA not to mention I heard they got black weapons to test, you know how much of an advantage that is also. Well Hope I win.

Well I received all the fans, also bought myself two fully modded black weapons working on my 3rd. I am continuing to place first in 66% of my games lol. I have claimed the title as Highest level NA player and one of the best, Acid and a few others are my caliber though I think I place first the most often out of them. Now I shall wait for a challenger to threaten my throne.

(and your damn boosters dont help, all the work i put into this contest, just to have you get a booster and out rank me without even trying.... you now make 14k fans to my 9k (normally you make 7k) Ugh... Im the better player... But it wont matter since this is about fans....

Thats the problem, Us NA cant play with you EU guys, so we cant tell who is the best. (IMO i am, since i havent used a single booster and i still managed to be the top 2nd (for now) in ranks.

Well acid if you really started at 0 then i must congratulate you not only for winning but also for thinking.
There is no way that anyone can win if you started with a fresh account. :C
Unfortunately I had no time to start with a fresh one and played from where I was :C.
Even worse I spent so much time and won't even get a prize :C. ^_^
As for the talk about the best players let's hope that Hedone becomes an E-Sport and we can meet at a lan event with no lag so that "best player" fight can be decided. ^_^

Yea, I would love for this game to become an e-sport game, I enjoy it alot. Sadly so far its pretty generic... Now if these devs can make a flashy spectator thingy. (I can see it now, You get 3kills in a row then die. You hear a camera take 3 snap shots, and then 3 pictures flash onto the screen of the last second of each kill, then you hear the announcer (with better voice acting of course) say some bs about how awesome you are and how people need to see that replay. Then later you can go onto the website look you name up and watch "epic moment" replays from all the set camera positions in the maps!) *a guy can dream*
But yea, i feel almost cheated.... I tried my hardest to become best player, im the top of the score boards each time i play. I played pretty much 24/7 and i wasnt a douche bag about being top i even helped new players by giving them tips.
And i made it to 48 without any boosters (and today i will max out at 50 without boosters). Yet i most likely wont win, since all the EU players had a head start both in skill and fans. AND, Players with boosters made way more fans than i could dream of... (My best game i make 14k fans (My average is 9.5k fans), My friend with boosters makes AT LEAST 14k fans. And im better than him most of the time.)

Also im thinking for the rest of the day im gonna stream myself playing all day. (If i doesnt conflict with the NDA (I need to read it to make sure.) Just to add to the whole MvP vibe.

Well, the event is over and was quite clear who wins! I do not ... :D
when players have so much time that they can sit all day in front of the PC.
I prefer to take care of my daughter.
However, the doubling of the money and heats was great....

I expect every winner of the competition to be lvl 50 with max fans, so In the end the ammount of fans you earned at this weekend depends on the level you started.
