can't find any match

Hello All,
I just install the new launcher.
When I click on "quick play", It can't find any match.
Same thing if I try to search for a specific server, the server list is empty.
Do you know why ?

Hi Mate,

This phase of Closed Beta is currently open during scheduled playtest windows, which are Wednesdays and Sundays 6pm - 2am.

We are looking at adding additional days when we meet required targets.

Full details can be found by clicking the news link in the launcher stating playtest windows.

for EU the given Times are in CEST
for US (NA) times are in Mounta

What with the server locks? Are you just not wanting people to get bored with you game? This really is a bad idea. You are limiting your abilty to get feed back. Cause not everyone will be able to play on wed and sunday. Really bad idea. This looks like it can be a great game but at the same times. Already beta only has a limited ammount of players that can give you important feed back. Why limite your self even more? You might as well release the game broken and unfinished if this is your idea of beta.

This is really a stupid idea.

As has been commented on we will gladly open up more days as the player numbers increase and we meet our testing requirements.
I appreciate some players may not be able to make these play test windows, we did however choose the 2 days which were statistically the most popular during CBT 1
Having the servers open 24/7 was just not suitable for this phase of testing
As Ive stated in another thread please bear in mind this is a development limited/closed testing phase for Hedone with various goals and requirements, and we feel scaling up the number of days as player numbers increase is the best plan for us.

PS When we decide to add additional days the community will be asked to pick their preferred days to add next

And on that note, there is even a poll for you to vote on which days you would like and they had one bonus weekend, I'm sure they will have another.

Ok you guys clearly need me to explane why the limited time is stupid idea. Here are the reassions.

1. Their PR department ether sucks or is does not even exists. How many of you just happien to find the beta key by accedent. This game is unheared of by majority of the FPS community. To limite the time people have to play is really a bad idea.

2. We are in the forth Quarter. You must be living in a cave if you do not know why this is a problem for their beta. Most of the FPS community is looking for time killers for all the big name games to come out. BF3, CoD 3, SR3, Skyrim, SW:ToR, ect. The effects of 4th Quarter hurts games with low PR levels. Do not believe me. Look up Nuclear Dawn. A game that has released in 4th Quarter and is already doing very poorly.

3. The times it is open is Wed and sunday only. At 6pm - 2am Mountain Time zone for the US. I am sure a few of you are still living at home with your parents getting a free ride in life. Most of us have to work for a living. The world does not shuts down the moment 5 pm hits. This will be people working. With the time zone being set in mountain time. The people in eastern time will be limited to how long they can play before they need to go to sleep to get up for work in the morning. Let us not forget about Socail Lifes. Do not tell me your going blow off your friends family and lover for a game that may not even make it in the end.

4. F2P FPS are a dime a dozen. Why should I test this game if it only open for 12 hours a week. When there are plenty of FPS and 3rd Person Shooters out there. That I can play unlimited for free.


So here are four reassion why the limited time beta is a dumb idea. I could give you more but if 4 good reassion are not enough for you guys. Then no ammount of good reassion will be enough to make you stop and think. Idiots will be idiots and I can not stop them from being idiots.

Good reasons are good reasons, but please do not question the mental abilities of certain members directly. Nothing against a general phrase, but please don't direct it to any particular users.

But you can imagine that also Acony has good reasons to do things the way they do. And as you see they don't necessarily need to match your view how things should be done. Please accept this. (This is a general statement directed to everyone).

DoomBlackDragon, i would suggest you just stop it. Its usueless! I also tied to convience them ,that these play times arent helpfull, either for them nor for the tester.
I got banned 2 times, because i just couldnt stop complaining.

Of course, there are more reasons and the only "reason" the devs have, is to stress-test the server and to have enough people to play. As you may know, its too early for a strsstest, because as you said, nobody knows the game and thus nearly nobody plays it.

But you could do it my way: Just dont play the beta, untill there are more playtime windows or at least more days to play. ;)

You still have no idea what you're talking about, and you can't spell.

1. It's a limited closed beta. They don't need to do a ton of advertising, they need good testers who can offer good feedback, not players with bad attitudes.

2. SWTOR is not an FPS game. Hedone is not scheduled for release during the almighty fourth quarter. In fact, there has been no mention of a release date at all yet. Not even a date for open beta. So what is there to be hurt? They don't need a huge fan base, they need a good group of testers.

3. If it doesn't suit your schedule, then don't beta test. Pretty simple. And by the way, some of us are individuals with a career, a wife, a house and a cat, and we still manage to find time to test AND offer good feedback. Your problems are your own, not ours, and not Aconys. Nobody here is trying to cater to your personal schedule.

4. Then don't test it, and don't bother posting in the forums. Especially if you're just going to spew garbage. Go play some other free unlimited game and troll their forums instead.

Your "reassions" or REASONS as it is actually spelled, are inane. And you're right, idiots will always be idiots. Go check the mirror and see for yourself.

Eisscratch has a good point, you might want to put yourself in check before the ban hammer comes down swift and hard.

In the general topics, nowadays the care for this inbenovelent attitudes todays. However Zeus speaks indeed truth that case.

As you may not notice. I sometimes log in and check sometimes if they happen to open the Matches and let few users play freely for some time. The time differences between US and EU situations isn't very troubling if you are either waiting to try this game for Beta Testing, or wasting time to play the game, because you like it. That or spewing unacceptable words in a Forum, where no one will bother your banter, and you most likely will gain a Ban Hammer making you pancake flat. I suggest that the situation as the game is in now. Which is Beta Testing. Is most likely focused and interested to see what Hedone can offer the FPS players or other Users in regular Gamers.

As you may notice. Or not...depending on your view. Hedone looks promising. And i see a lot of unbalances and loop holes in every time i spend my time there. But i noticed already now...that hecka lot of fun to play it, tis was. I give it my admiration and approves for it.

If you want to test the game out and look into it. Follow the timed schedules, and gain a chance to try it out. But don't start a silly discussion over disagreements, self-corrected situations and senseless complaints. As it will serve no good here. Rather so. Feedback Hedone and give it comments. However any comments you like, since this is Beta Testing. And let them know where to improve and where to build up or down at.
